Or set my burdens down at the feet of Jesus only to take them back up again. Discipline is the key: laying the burdens down again and again. Giving them to Jesus. He never intended for us to carry them in the first place. We need to be diligent to enter into the rest that God offers. So with my house in the renovation process with Christmas a week away. The constuction clean up yet to be done when they complete it on Saturday, and decorating for the holidays,etc...I choose to lay it all down and be a Mary. I love your blog. You have ministered to me.Thanks!Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11366857783764421569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730544154006010668.post-54285066699805955142008-11-27T15:20:00.000-08:002008-11-27T15:20:00.000-08:00much wisdom here!V.much wisdom here!

V.V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10547508639039465571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730544154006010668.post-32239389256001372322008-11-22T14:58:00.000-08:002008-11-22T14:58:00.000-08:00Daveda, I sooooo agree. The only time I do is when I'm made to and even then I sometimes don't. I just don't enjoy them and it is very hard for me to learn from them. As a general rule I utterly dislike to be serious or to think too hard. I used to think that I needed to try harder to be more spiritual, but lately God has been showing me that part of that is simply how I'm put together. He speaks to me frequently through Christian fiction or through a small devotional that I have. Sometimes I only read 4 or 5 verses from my BIble, but it speaks to my heart. I feel so free now. I know if God wants me to intercede for someone or something very fervently, He leads me to do so and I obey...but I don't have to work it up. Once when I went to a church service I told God that I just did not have it in me to be super-serious at that time...and guess what, He spoke to me using the movie Chitty Chitty Bank Bank. How cool is that!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
